Arrived in Cairo

After a grueling flight schedule and staying awake for over 30 hours (the too few short naps on the plane made us more disoriented than rested), we finally made it to Cairo today! Hard to believe I've actually reached the land of my dreams. I am too tired to realize the magnitude of this. It will sink in I am sure... Hotel Longchamps is a delightful little hotel in a quieter neighborhood of Cairo. We just had a good dinner - first 'real' food since we left - and are going to bed shortly. No big plans for tomorrow. Saturday we join the rest of the group from London and Sunday we fly to Aswan to the south... The real adventure begins!
